Going electric doesn't just mean a whole new world of era for the engine boffins but for the wheel guys too. The Superturismo Aero E is OZ's answer to the difficulties in wheel development regarding drag and aerodynamics, and this is their solution.
Having been developed in a wind tunnel and made by a company with 35 years of racing experience, this wheel is the answer to wheel aerodynamics for electric road cars. Using weight reduction technology from OZ's racing history and research into new materials. Not only does this wheel take advantage of OZ's lightweight alloy formulas, using aluminium and magnesium, to produce a super light wheel, but also uses brake cooling technology.
Derived from Formula 1, an airflow extraction system increases circulation in the wheel well and improves heat dispersion, also featuring special derived inserts which promote an aerodynamic effect by funnelling airflow from the inside of the wheel to the outside, therefore reducing drag. Manufactured using HLT Technology which delivers mechanical characteristics in terms of strength comparable to those of a forged wheel whilst making them as light as possible.
Featuring an Aero Cap which fully replaces the iconic central lock cap to produce a completely flat area for minimal drag. The Full Aero Flap Technology uses the same principle and slots in between each wheel spoke to reduce the number of open surfaces on the wheel face. The dimpled surfaces of the caps and flaps create what is known as the Magnus effect, manipulating airflow to reduce drag and enhance airflow, very similar to how a golf ball works.
We ship daily at Jspec Wheels. Any order placed before 2pm EST Monday - Friday will ship out same day. A signature is required at the time of delivery so please make sure someone is available to sign for your parts. Tracking numbers will be emailed to the email associated with your order. If your item is damaged at the time of delivery please contact us within 48 hours so we can find a resolution.
